Dander grew up in the meech colony. However, he didn't like how his fellow meeches lived, believing they should have better lives. The others were happy with their lives under Wulder, which irritated Dander even more. He left after a while, and his mother, Tulanny, didn't know what became of him. However, when a raid on Paladise, one of many, was successful, Dander was revealed to be the Voice, the leader of the Followers. Unlike other meeches in the colony, he had a harder look about him.
